311!!!

this is my 311th post, which brings me to my favorite band, 311. they are the most positive band out there and there lyrics mean more and make more since than any other band out there IMO. they have 8 albums, 1 greatest hits, 2 live albums, and 2 bonus extra single LP's. along with a few more singles that you cant get anymore. if you dont have any of there albums or have never heard of them, i would highly recomend you check them out. so lets here of all the quad riders and exriders members that like this band as much as i do! and to top this all off, i had every single one of there albums, extras and live albums, but the night of there concert i lost all of my CD's. THAT SUCKED!!!

so lets hear it. do you like them, and what do you think of them, and whats your favorite song and album.

all i have is there greatest hits, but it jams. i could listen to all mixed up all day, its awesome, down jams and so do a few others, just cant think of the names of them, lol great band IMO

their a good *** band for sure...just saw them in concert over the summer..they dont usually come around these parts..actually i have never heard of them comin. it was an outdoor concert and it was PACKED and it was raining hardcore and it was cold and i could barley see but none of that mattered...seeing them in concert ruled and their a great band!

they love their fans and never cared about money, just cared about getting fans to hear there stuff. they have played several concerts for free or almost free, like 2 bucks a ticket. there first song to hit the major airways was DONT STAY HOME and they pretty much disowned that song because they didnt want people just liking them for one song and not knowing the message they where trying to get across to there listeners. they are a riot to see in concert and know how to get there fans behind them 100%. they are some of the best musicians at there own instraments and they are all in one band. p-nut is just crazy and amazing on the bass, tim plays some of the hardest guitar cords and rifs known to man, and chad plays so off beat, technical, and smooth on the drums. one of the best drummers i have ever heard.

I got music about 11 years ago and still listen to it two three times a week. I Have turned so many people on to their music. Everyone that spends time around me becomes a fan. i am always listing to them. i would say that my favorite song would be almost any song of theirs.

what a good cd of theirs I shoukd get? the greatest hits or is there another?

you really can't go wrong with any of their cds. the greatest hits is a good one to start out with. if you like that then you will like them all.

music is an awsome cd, but my favorite would have to be grassroots. i got music when i was in 5th grade from my brother. hes nine years older than me but ever since then i have liked them and got more into them the last 5 years. this is my favorite song from each CD.

omaha sessions- down south

grassroots - lucky
blue album - all mixed up
transistor- electricity
sound system - eons
from chaos - you wouldnt believe
evolver - beyond the gray sky
and then you have GAP

those where very hard choices to make.

same here, all of my friends first said they sucked when they first heard them from me, then about a couple weeks later they are wanting to barrow my 311 CD's to burn, but they are the only band i dont let people burn cd's by because of what they have done for there fans and its the least we can give back to them. i took 2 of my friends to there first 311 concert about 3 years ago and they have been hooked ever since. accualy today i bought my buddy grassroots for his b-day when i was at best buy trying to bring my CD collection back to life from its past tragedy.
