Amp link?

Does any one own or know if the Amp link for 250x/300ex is any good. Does it work?

From what I have heard they are in the works of creating a new Amp link for the Raptor and 400ex that will not have the rollers. It looks like this:

Put one on my old 250x it works great.But it will self destruct in a matter of months the sprockets will fail first then the bearings and the noise the thing makes sounds like carboard in the spokes of a kids bike.

That picture looks like a big chain slider thing with fake carbon fiber on it.

The thing works like this: if you put your wheeler up against a wall put it in 1st the rear will squat down compressing the rear suspension. With it on it will not be as severe. But for a 400ex it is not needed as in the 300ex or 250ex,250x
