05 400ex

i am really really disappointed with the 05 400ex. the new front end on the 400ex reminds me of a lil youth quad or something. it looks good on the 450r. does anybody else think this.

the front end is alright, i could deal with it, but other than that i like it alot and wouldnt mind getting one.

Yea the 05 reminds me of a 350 raptor (slow 660 raptor), the new plastics make it look a lot like a youth quad now. Well Honda did it and theres nothing you can do about it now. Say goodbye to the old 400ex lights.

weirdo's it's all the same extact plastic, same rear fenders, same side panels, and same front fenders all they changed was the mold for the front fenders to except a 450r headlight

Yea but people with z400 are gonna race it and say "man i raced a 450r and smoked it" They wont notice the diffiences, Not too much people know about it yet.

If you don't know the difference between a new 400ex and 450r, then you shouldn't be riding. Just my opinion. I don't mind the plastic at all, but I do mind the added weight of the reverse. Does anyone know how much weight it added to the bike? I love my 400ex , but if I was going to buy a new 400 class bike, I would have to go with the z400. You get a lot more for your money. Luckily, I love my 01, and have no plans of getting anything new anytime soon.

They also changed the gearing internaly by widening out the gears a bit

im glad they got rid of the goofy 2 headlights, now they just need to do that with the 300.

Yeah, I like the new look. I guess this means I can order an '05 front plastic and headlight for my '99.
