my husbands '97 300ex stalls and is hard to get restarted when going through a deep puddle. this just started to happen, he even had a hard time starting it after washing it. the coil and spark plug wire were replaced about a year ago, any suggestions or common problems with these. thanks.

I would pull all the wiring harness's apart. Then blow them out with compressed air, apply some silicone dielectric grease (you can get it at any auto parts store) all around it and shove the harness's back together. This will waterproof all the connections and hopefully fix your problem.

Aceman is right. Dielectric grease should fix your problem. You can pick it up at any auto parts store. Put it on every electrical connection you can including the spark plug wires and coil. Mine was doing the same thing and the dielectric grease fixed the problem. Good luck.:D
