Standard Travel Suspension?

Hey i just got a 400ex. would a set of like elka's with rezzies standard size for stock a-arms work for some good size jumping, and some freestlye. nothing huge or hardcore racing, just some that would work for some big doubles and stuff. or would a longer front end with longer travel work better. opinions appreciated.

also what kind of rates would be good for a set of shocks.

i just put a set of elkas on the front of my 400ex.
they are awsome and i stayed with the stock front end for the width.
alot of the trails around me are tight.
ive got some pretty big air on them, they land so sweet!!!
there not cheap but good quality never is..
i love them, call cd racing i felt the price and service were very good.

thanks, thats what i was wondering how the work on stock a-arms. sounds like they work good, ill have to see about getting a set.
