Is it worth buying the k&n power kit. What are other ways of jetting. What do you think are some ideas for getting more horsepower for my 300ex under $300. Thanks

Brad,
Call Terry Marcum and he'll send you the stuff you need for around $50. I was going to order the power kit, but he said its a waste of money. He sent me the K&N Filter, Outerwear, and the main jet I needed (I added on a Yoshi slip-on also).
Tell him what you are doing and where you live (for the elevation), and he'll send you the right jet and save you some cash ! If you are willing to spend just under $300, order some sort of slip-on pipe as well to get the power you want, it will make a big difference !

Jet kits are a waste of money. If you want to have extra jets and what not lying around get it, but why spend 50 or 60 bucks for a jet kit when you probably only need a 3 dollar jet.

Agreed. Pilot Jet, Main Jet, K&N Filter, slip-on, should be around $300. No need for the entire kit.

Good Luck,
Jason.

Ok I am going to be the only one to disagree. You will still be using your stock needle which doesn't have the same tapper as the Dyno Jetkit... So my feeling is that not only are the jets a better quality, the needle that you get makes a big difference. Do what you want man, but if I had the choice of spending $50 to do it sort of and spending $99 to do it right (imo).. I would spend the $99. Then just add the pipe of your choice.
