View Full Version : my 450r problem(please help)

my engine is all stock. when ever i hit a bump are whoops, my qaud looses all power until i let off the throttle. i cleaned the carb and change the oils,oil filter,spark plug,and air filter. i dont know whats wrong so can someone help me.

did you just get the pc done if so check for bad grounds

Look at the filter n make sure it can breath n there is not to much oil on it also...

or make sure your vent tube on your gas cap isnt pinched

you tore your quad down and you dont know where your ground is???

did u take the snorkel off the airbox? i tried that and i couldnt get past 1/2 throttle.

whitezee- my dad tore my quad apart to get powder coated. know he thinks i broke it so he wont help me.

jersey450r- no i didnt take it off, i never touched the motor in any way.

wow, you may want to talk to him about that, i couldnt see how he would be pissed over you "breaking" it anyway.

yea icheck the ground its fine, then i opened the float bowl and found some dirt so i cleaned it out. now if i go throught the whoops 10 times it will only 2 or 3 times. what else do i cleaned on the carb. should i take off the top and clean that.

my brother had the same problem on his when he first got it.
whenever you went over a jump the engine would lose power and if you tried to rev the bike it would just pop and bang if you left it to idle for a minute it would be fine (until the next jump) very frustrating in an mx!!
we tried everything and eventually foun it was down to a faulty throttle position sensor.
