I am going to buy an "R".
My questions are...
1. Should I get the HRC kit?
2. Would an after market silencer be a better choice than the stock set up?
3. If an after market silencer is the better choice, which one would you recomend?
4. Any advice, going into this deal?

i dont see any reason for you to get the HRC kit right away, IMO the quad is already to fast, but i ride trials only so this maybe different for someone who only drags. i think the HMF slip-on is the best deal for the money, they are only $230. you will most likely want to at least get a 13t front sproket, if you want to get it from your dealer, the front sprocket off the crf450 dirt bike will work. a steering dampner may also be a good idea, i love my denton. if i had to only choose one thing to do to my quad, it would be the gt thunder rear shock linkage and revalve. the stock rear setup on the 450r is pathetic.
