if you drop 2 a 13 tooth front, do u have 2 remove a link from the chain or just adjust it?

I went down to a 12 and was able to adjust it enough. We'll see what happens after the chain stretches a little, but for now it's fine.

I go from 13-39 to 14-36 and only slack adjustment is necessary. Just loosen the 4 pinch-bolts on swingarm and rotate housing to adjust tension. Must take off two 8mm bolts on front sprocket cover and loosen 12mm bolt on front sprocket and swap out. Piece of cake.

why would you ever want to run 14/36?

i would think that gearing would be worth less for any kind of riding, unless hes just going out on the rode tring to hit 100, lol.

14 is by far the best. If you have a 13 switch back to the 14 and it will stay there. 14 accelerated harder in my oppinion. Doesn't make sense I know but it gives the engine something to pull against I guess.

Except when you run 22" haulers with a 13 tooth & HRC kit and still bog in 1st gear in steep, wet hillclimbs. 14 tooth would be totally worthless.

IMH, the 14t is not even ridable for the harescrambles i race. i run 13/39, and still find my self using my clutch a decent amount.

Well I stand corrected. The 14 tooth is way better for me though, the top end is so much better too. I can't imagine bogging in 1st with a 13 tooth, crazy.
