What is everyone using for a pilot jet that has at least a full exhaust system? Nate and John from Nmotion have been telling me I need to be running a 60!! All I have is their full exhaust system, hrc kit without airbox lid and k&n filter. I have been reading all the jetting threads on here for months, and I haven't heard of anyone else running a pilot this big. But they are swearing by it! They told me even if it's a little rich it'll make more torque on the bottom end. I'm guessing they have some dyno results to back this up. So I got my 60 coming in the mail, I guess I'll try it out and see how it works. They claim I should be right at 45 hp with this setup.

you should beable to run stock pilot jet if you have the HRC needle installed. with a 185-190 main jet.

Like BOONE45R said. I have the HRC cam, LRD Full exhaust, K&N filter no lid. I am running a 50 pilot and the clip on the 4th notch on the HRC needle. 60 seems way to big.

ive talked to sparks and they state that the HRC, sparks or dyno jet needle. is needed to proplely get the jetting right.

the needle will act like a larger pilot . and help in the begining of the throtal..

Does anyone know the size or part # for the needle that comes in the HRC kit?

Update:
I finally got the 60 pilot jet in my R just before we left for the dunes on wednesday. My first reaction was not good. It ran like chit on the bottom, but freakin screamed on the mid and top. So I took it back to camp and did some fine tuning on the fuel mix screw, don't ask me where it's at cause i have no idea. I took it back out on the dunes, and it runs much better now, but still not perfect. I've decided the 60 was in fact too big, but close!! On saturday i headed to the drag strip to put my new pipe and tad bit rich jetting to the test. I was really impressed, I never lost a race to another 450R or 250R, I beat a handfull of piped bansees, raptors and yfz's. I love the looks on the faces of the guys on their banshees when my R smokes them out of the hole and all the way down the strip, it never got old. I think i would have faired better with the yfz's if I would have had my 14t sprocket on. It seems first gear is too low on the starts, and second is almost too high, but I made it work launching in second.

Stock is 48 pilot 118 main. The new pipe should come with jetting recommendations, so start there and see what happens, if not call them.
