Does anyone know how to rejet my carb if i run no lid or Outerwears Airlid. I got a 04' 400ex, it runs a little too lean, but does not backfire. Any help?

Go up at least 1 size on the main jet, but I'd go ahead and buy the next 2 sizes up when you go to the dealer. Either of those will get you were you need to be...

Your better off buying a jetkit sine your planing on doing more engine mods on the long run.;)

I would just buy the individual main jets. It's much cheaper than buying a whole kit. I wouldn't bother with the dealer though. My local dealers were telling me at least 2 weeks just to get a couple of larger jet sizes. Occasionally dealers will have them though. I ordered jets through the Quadshop and had them in 2 or 3 days.

I hope you got this outerwear airlid http://www.ehsracing.com/products/400ex.php because the velcro type tend to fall off the stock air box.

if i were you i would call hmf to get jets, only $5 a jet. my local honda shop wanted to charge me $20. but these are the same ppl that tried to sell me a 400ex twist throttle for my 250ex, there just out to screw everyone.
