crank bearing

just wanted to know if anyone melted their crank bearing? cause i did and i think that i'm the only one, o well that happens i guess honda is payin for it so it's all good

well just got back from the dealership my bike needs a few more parts than a crank, the major things are crank, left side case cover, piston and rings, and a oil pump plus a bunch and seals and gaskets and aways parts for it came to over $1200 canadian then labor on top of that good thing honda is good for warrenty

He most likely didn't have enough oil in it. These engine have to have the correct amount or they will grenade. The Honda engine is not as bullet proof as Yamahas 450. This is always a problem with a wet sump engine.

Isnt it supposed to be between the f and the low mark? right in the middle?

a wet sump system is a more safe system then a dry sump.

allways run at the full mark also, i found a few more people on other sites with the same problem, i guess honda is calling it a defect in the bearing
