I need some help on deciding what pipe i should get. I either want the bill ballance or the sparks, i am gonna get a slip on because i heard full exhaust takes away from bottom end. I want the pipe that will help me the most on bottom end. All opinions are appreciated. Thanks

Go to HMF's web site. They have dyno charts for their pipes. If u want bottom end u may want a full system. I think their says it makes 7hp on bottom. That's impressive. I bought a LRD just because I got a heck of a deal on ebay. I can't tell u much about it though I haven't really got to ride it. hope this helps

sparks exausts are typically used to drag racing or in the dunes, the hmf BB is designed for woods racing, and with the TRM ( torque range modifier ) it gives you a smoother power band.

the sparks only comes in a full system if noise is an issue then you might want to get the ballace with the quiet core, I currently have the x6 on my 450r and this pipe made the bike a whole other creature gains from bottom to top.

Dusty - they're only making one exhaust for the R aren't they? I have it on mine(came on it) and it is crazy loud. When your in the RPM's it just wails, almost too loud for me...

they make the ceramic and the stainless same price, I did not realize how loud it was on my 450r untill someone else was riding it wow :eek2: I sure hope they get their quiet core done soon.

sparks all the way baby! it has gains everywhere. and bottom is great! i have it on my 450R and i race mx and do some trail ridin and on the track it freakin rips!! loud= you can hear it anywhere. i personally like it loud as hell, but if loudness is an issue......get it anyway because you can't go wrong with sparks!

Nice quality pipe.

I'd go with:
#1 - Sparks
#2 - HMF
#3 - Rossier

But that's my oppinion..

you cant go wrong with HMF. its the cheapest and one of the best pipes out there. (and it looks cool too!)

the dyno numbers on the ballance series are indeed elusive though. they avoid the question in every thread i have seen and you cant read the dyno on their site. i really wanted this pipe but am just not sure now :(

i know what you mean by how you cant read the dyno. and who even knows if the dyno is true. i'm not knocking HMF but the performance series is a better overall all-around pipe than the ballance series.

Hey id go with the sparks i have it, since u have a 13 tooth sprocket u mine as well put the 14 tooth back on because it will have the same power as the stock with 13 tooth.
