frame welding

what if i welded my z400 frame? would it hold up?
im up for saving some money if it will hold.the frame broke on the shock mounts both sides completly snapped in two

it will also need that area gusseted or it will break right above the welds.

my idea was to not have to take the whole quad apart if i dont have to

its possible to do just the shock mounts without a complete tear down. IMO id rip her down and do it right, but you can prolly get away with only removing anything that could be in the way.

believe it or not, i had a feller drop off a frame the other day and i asked him if he wanted it gusseted. he said they had considered it but didnt think they would do it. that was until i showed him the 5 or 6 cracks in the front end. the main tubes were almost all the way around.


everyone should inspect this area before ANY riding
