I boarded up the house and tied everything down this afternoon. It is pretty windy already and the tide is a little higher than normal. when i get up in the morning I guess I will decide if we are leaving depending on which direction it is finally going. that thing is big. guess that is the price we pay for living near the coast.

Im under a voluntary evacuation right now. The clouds are gettin darker by the hour. We just have a pretty strong breeze blowing right now but that is gonna be getting worse all day. Good luck to everybody else in the path of this storm. Its gonna be a bad one. Later, Ant.

They say the Ivan will be a Catagory 4 when it hits land, there saying that this is a bad one! Then you have TS Jeanne (which has already taken 2 lives) which can turn into a hurricane and will track again to the east coast of FL.....again!! This is absolutely crazy with this weather! All these storms will make me leave, I wouldn't be able to take it:eek:

A lot of people from new orleans are riding the storm out in the superdome!! I dont know if they are below sea level yet though

Pappy

new orleans is 8 feet below sea level. if the hurricane was to hit them head on they figure a tidal surge of 12 to 16 feet. that puts them down with the fishies if the levee's fail which they expect them to.

god be with you guys.
