Houser is telling me that it is a new type of ball joint that they have only been using for 6 months. Your 400ex probably has the old style ball joint.

What type of problem are you having???

If the ball joints are turning while you are trying to tighten them. You have to put them on a bind to do so. A C-clamp works nice with a peice of oak molding and a rag so you do not scuff the p.c.

Mine are the new style they just sent me the set we just put on about two weeks ago.

The steering is very tight!

did you re install your tie rod ends in the correct position? if they are wrong it will cause binding.

No it's not the tie rods. If you take the tie rods off and move the knuckle it is still very tight. It has to be the ball joint.

Sounds like you need to adjust the caster
