01 yz426f motor, full TC race port, etc..

Im looking to get a wr450 motor from a buddy and possibly port it later and stuff so I need the money from my current motor to make this happen. What I have is a 01 motor that was redone by TC racing, they did all kinds of stuff to the engine, it has full race port, etc... I need to contact them to get more details on what was done to this motor. So far I personally have started it 2 times and it runs great, I plan on running it more and doing a compression test on it to make sure the buyer is getting a good motor. I need to get at least $1800 out of it and that would include carb, electronics and possibly a 250r radiator if needed. This motor rips and is extremely clean. If I cant get at least $1800 out of it, no way will I even be close to getting the motor I plan on getting.

this is a really good deal. TC does great engine work. 1800 without a carb would even be a good deal. good luck sellin, you probably wont have it long!

He has a 250r frame that is converted to fit the yz426 motor, his setup is much nicer than mine, but then again more expensive. Im selling this motor to get his wr450 motor just to give it a try.

yeah.. what he said, except its not "converted" for the motor, the frame is made to house the YZ motors, and it is 250r geometry. just to clear it up for ya! lol

bump. I can do $1875 shipped on this motor, as for the radiator I will include that if the buyer wants it, otherwise Ill use it as a backup. I can include kicker but not the extension, carb comes with it as well as electronics. I also have a hotstart I will include with it as well as the decompression lever.

I see you are selling your yz motor. to bad, cause that TC motor is (badass) you would have like it. So you shoulden't have any problem selling it. for only $1875 , a stock yz426 is twice that.

Yeah its pretty much sold, I just need to make sure the deal with the wr450 motor comes through. I know I would have loved the motor but I just wanted to try a wr450 with electric start since my ankles have been a little achy. I figured I could always have TC port this motor down the road

what would needed to be done to fit a yz 426 engine into a lonestar 250r frame? Does it require any cutting?

some cutting is required but it fits pretty easily. you wont need to cut the main structure of the frame, but you'll need to weld new bottom mounts and something new for the headstay.


i'm surprised he's still got the motor for that price
