Well today was the first run of the Dirt Drags in Smithton, Pa. I went unexpectedly, and didn't get alot of pics, but some to give others an idea of what it was all about. Being this was the first one, things were a little disorganised as expected, but hopefully that will change with time.
The warm up act was a guy on a Prairie 700 with a wheelie bar doing "Fake Wheelies".

Then the racing began, with the aid of a real starting tree.

We raced double elimination style which got everyone some time on the strip. There were a few EX's on hand there including this guy that opted to put 25" rear tires on....... :huh

The Prairie Guy resumed his fake wheelies for intermission........So I asked the staff for permission to go onto the field with him, and rode about a 150 yard 3rd gear wheelie while proudly wearing an EXRiders.com T-shirt! We do it real!:p The Prairie guy was less than enthusiastic!:o
Ooops!

Do they have a set schedule yet? I don't live too far from there. I am also looking for some places to ride. I just got out of the motocross (2-wheel) scene & picked up a quad..pm me or email me if you live in the western pa area & know of some good riding spots. Good = intermediate level ,no insane hill climbs or knee deep mud holes,,just looking to get used to my new ride..I currently have a practice track on my property that needs a little work to make it more quad friendly.
