450r muffler on a 400ex?

Anybody tried this? They look very similar, but the mounting bracket is in a different location.

Iv thought abou it too. Its a good idea, more flow still quiet. I bet it can be done probably have to mess with mounts and pipe diameter. If you try it let me know.

eh I wouldn't recommend it at all. After you weld on new mounts, and somehow make the inlet diameter the same as the end of your header diameter, itd look pretty chopped up, then I'd take a guess you wouldnt end up gaining much. If you want to go the cheaper way, just gut the stocker scilencer...good luck-darren

I think the 450r exhaust is more restrictive then the 400ex exhaust
