Need Help!! top end gasket

ok this may be a dumb ? but do in need to use gasket maker on the metal gaskets for the base ,head and valve gasket

please help

Use gaskets for the base/head gasket and gasket maker for the valve cover. I've heard some people use gasket maker for the base gasket to increase compression but most people use a base gasket.

if you are putting a gasket on, don't use that sealant.
