would it ?
after i cleaned it today i fired it up and drove it up the driveway, watching it idle after i got it up i thought hey ill try to see how it gos without the lid on, so i removed the seat, took off the lid, tested the throttle response, Wow, way better, much more crisp. deeper sound to but with the seat on it well be muffled a little.
if i run without the lid on is the change the fule mixture enough to want to rejet ? or does it lean it out to be a little better but not quite to much ?
im thinking about cutting out a huge portion of the lid and glueing a screen on to keep out sand and the big stuff.

thanks guys

Simple rule... if you increase the air flow you must increase the gas..done...

Do a search for "rejetting" and I am sure you will find what you need.

A #150 main jet should do the trick.

No you most likely don't need to rejet.

I don't know what these doods are talking about. Your bike is a 4 stroke, its not as touchy about jetting like a 2 stroke would be.

If you having backfire, its sluggish, a plug thats white, or some other sign. Than you would need to rejet.
