I'm getting married in a couple of weeks so my friends thought it would be cool to take me skydiving as part of the fun, we are going to greensburg, indiana to do it.

Have any of you ever went skydiving before? was it worth it? This is my 1st time so I din't know what to expect. I always thought it would be cool to try and now I have my chance, a lot of my buddies backed out because they are scared of heights, they're the same guys that say they would do anything but now they have the chance to skydive and now there scared.

If anyone wants to join in be there by 9:30 fast time, its gonna be fun.

A friend of mine went a couple of years ago and liked it so much he bought his own chute. He says it's an awesome rush. Good luck and happy landings. Call me a chicken but I just can't see jumping out of a perfectly good aircraft though.:o

Its an unreal rush. A couple of years ago, I jumped tandem from 15, 500 feet. It's unbelievable falling at 120 mph for over a minute, then pulling the chute and gliding down. For the freefall portion, you really don't get a sense of how fast you are falling because you are at 15K feet. Normally, a tandem skydiver would fall at about 180 mph, but they have to deploy a drone chute to slow them down to about 120. This also helps a single diver/camera man be able to keep up. Yes, I wanted it all on tape, just in case...LOL.

Hey you guys that were thinking about doing this go for it, its awesome!:D We jumped at about 13,000 feet and did a freefall doing flips and barrelrolls and stuff for about a minute before we pulled the shoot.

Here is a pic before I jumped (in the blue)

If you go with some friends that are nervous about jumping the best thing to do after you land is tell them that they make you watch "faces of death" video when your on your way up, you know thats the video that shows people chutes not opening and then them crashing into the earth.

This is what they should look like after you tell them that

I jumps at lease once a week. I am also the pilot for about 3 days a week now since the other guy quit on us.

I don't think there is anything else like it out there. If you are an andrenaline junkie then you will love it, I know I did.

Get ready for cotton mouth on the way down, haha.. You will understand what I mean after you do it...

Have fun!

I agree on both counts, my mouth got dried out too.
