i got a 2003 honda 400 ex. i have already install a yoshi. full pipe and k&n air filter.i was thinking about having some head work done to it and doing a different piston.i also thought about the 440 kit but i heard it wasn't worth it.i haven't really heard anything bad or good about the cam swaps.if u have any info please let me know what will increase my hp the most.thanks!

if you do a search there are numerous threads on piston kits. The most popular overbore I would have to say would be the 416 with a different cam most run the hotcam stg 2.

I agree, your are probably wanting to go with a piston kit and cam upgrade. If a motor already has a piston, cam, pipe, and carb the work done to the head (porting, polishing, big valves) will really bring it to life. Basically, the porting of the head can make or break the power a motor has.

who makes the cam and where can i get it.also if i go to the bigger cam and a 416 kit will i need to change my carb.thanks

nope,you dont have to change it,but you will most likely have to jet,but if i did that i would get a aftermarket carb anyway
