what exactly does it do and is it worth it ? might sound like a stupid ? but i kinda needed to know.

Go with a carrier with tapered bearings, much better setup - something like 15x as strong.

When I purchased my extended Swingarm I wanted a tapered bearing carrier but since I ended up with Houser it wasn't an option. The Tapered carriers are much easier to perform maintenance on, the disadvantages being: bearing preloading instructions are a bit more difficult and you don't have as much chain adjustment as a dual row... The advantages are bearings should be relatively easy to locate and CHEAP, and of course the tapered bearings withstand side loads better than the regular bearings.
