Who's updating their 99-04 to the new 400ex look?

Just curious to see if anyone plans on making their 99-04 400ex's look like the 05's when the plastic is out?

I like the big bug eye look of my 02, so I'll be keeping the old style body work.

I like the look of my 01 400ex and don't plan on changing it either. Just wanted to see if anyone else was thinking of it.

Ill see how much the plastic costs first. Cuz im gonna end up getting new plastic this winter anyway. Might as well try something different.

i will wait untill laker custom comes out with thier version of the 05 plastic like they did on the 450r, then get their hood with it.

I dont understand why theyd make it look like the 450R... I mean, the 450R is a good bike, but it looks like S H I T with the stock front end. What was honda thinking with that headlight and front end arrangement. They should give you 180 bucks off of the price right off the bat to put a quad tech hood on it immediately after buying it. I agree with the reverse gear being put on for all the trail guys but was hoping honda would change the front end of the 450R in the next couple years so Im definitely not a fan of the new plastic. Ill keep my blue maier with quad tech scoop 2 hood over that new crap any day and the classic 400ex style is better too...

Wait a minute did I miss something? I knew Honda haven't released the 05 yet, but they are changing it to look like the 450r's little sister or something? Who has a pic? What are the details of the engine? I heard about a reverse a while ago, but what else?:confused:

I guess they changed the gear ratios too... Prolly made the gears a little taller since they basically made this bike into a trail/woods machine now...

Nope, I'll stick with the old school look. Im planning my winter teardown now and new plastics are in the works but not that look.

Personally, I like the look. I might go ahead and do it once it comes out, and if it is as cheap as stock 400ex plastic.;)

i will probly update with laker custom plastic with hood that their 450r plastic and hood looks sick so hopefully that will be possible. if not i dont have a problem settling for regular laker custom 400ex plastic
