They are a great all around tire. Handle well on the road and wear awesome, especially on smaller vehicles. Buddy's 4x4 S-10 blazer got 55,000 miles out of them, and he abused them. They do decent in the mud, but they aren't a mud tire either. Great on dirt roads and trails. I would highly recommend them on a daily driver that see's the occasional off road adventure.

I like these tires alot my last 4 sets of tires were these the handle GREAT, the dont do half bad in mud but like other people said there not a mud tire. As far as wear the first 3 sets wore really well but the set I have now are wearin done really quick, dont know why I dont do hardly any burnouts an occasional one here and there but not as many as I've done on the past sets. Guess I just got a bad set. But over all there great tires.

good for the road, suck in the mud/snow and what not, instead of mud terrians go with cooper stt same tread pattern, can be studded, and cost alot less

I had a set of 33/12.5/16.5 on a 3/4 ton dodge about 5 years ago. These were before the KO's. I put 50,000 miles on them, rotated them once and when I took them off they had about 1/4 tread left. When we looked on the inside of the tires you could see where each tire had been puncsured at least 5 times each and they never went down. I sold them for $75.
If it wasn't for the fact that 285/70/17's are so damn high priced I'd have another set. I think I may try some toyo's this time.....

or the Dunlop Mud Rover

i put ~70k on my set of BFG All Terrain TKOs. nice tire, kinda pricey though.

i took a chance and am trying the new Yokohama AT tires. the do pretty much the same as the BFGs(good on packed dirt, not a great mud/slop tire), but don't make as much road noise. they are quite a bit better on rainy roads than the BFGs. haven't gotten a chance to try em in snow, though i don't think they will do as well as the BFGs in that condition.

batgeek...

I've been running Geolander AT's for 2 years now...I have around 35k on them and still have around 1/3 tread left...enough to get through this winter. I've had them in sand (OBX) pulling people out that get stuck, had them in the mud (surprised me how well they worked --- wheel spin helped clean them) and I was VERY surprised how well the road manners were - rain and snow. I will be buying these tires again!

Actually here is a picture of the Geolanders from last winter. Never got stuck on the snow covered hills in Pittsburgh.... and we have ALOT of hills and crappy snow removal around here due to budget cuts in the city and suburbs.

well damn! thanks man!

not like we get a bunch of snow down here or anything. i've read reviews on the tires and most are favorable, but it's always better to hear something form someone i know and trust :)

they are good for any thing dry. mud they just get cloged up with mud and snow b/c they are hard rubber they arnt that good for any thing icey slushy. but the ones that my sister had on her 99 dodge ram 1500 4x4 the back tires wore out verry fast (and no she doesnt do any brake stands at all) and the fronts wore out pretty good they lasted bout 2 years maybe a little les but still a good tire. i would go with the Mud Terrains they have a little softer rubber and they look better:devil:
