Question about changing axle bearings?!

I'm changing the axle bearings on my 300EX, but I can't get the axle nut(or whatever its called) off. We heated it up with a torch and put alot of torque on it, but I doesn't come off!!!! Is there something we need to do that I don't know about? This is the first time I ever tried this, so PLEASE HELP!!!!:confused: :confused: :confused:

its reverse threaded & you have to make it go towards the swingarm first to reveal the circlip on the axle...then it will slip off ;)

So, your saying loosen the lock nut, then turn the axle nut in towards the swingarm so u can take the clip off, then it just slips off? We put all the torque on it we could both directions, even after we heated it up and it still wouldn't turn!!!
