grinding header welds?

This may seem a bit stupid but i have yet to tear anything off my new 450, but do you need to grind the header welds down if getting a slipon like on the 400ex?

i have never heard of grinding anything for a slip-on. my hmf went on fine.

you dont need to grind the welds on the headers , its just something some people say will give you more power, i bought into it a few years ago and did it with my stock 400 headers and i couldnt feel a difference
