How would I go about cleaning my 300ex carb? Will i have to take off my gas tank and all of that stuff?

I think I was able to remove my carb just by taking out the airbox. It's still much easier to remove the plastic though. You can clean the carb with carb and choke cleaner or even kerosene. If it is your first time doing this you can use a digi cam or poloroid so you get everything back together correctly. A manual helps too. Good luck.

I wouldn't use gas. It ignites much too easily. You will have to disassemble the carb completely including the jets and use a toothbrush where possible. You may also want to try pipe cleaners for the smaller areas. You can also spray carb cleaner into the jets and use compressed air to blow the dirt out. Just be careful not to blast them out of your hand with the air.

wow:huh

I really hope that its either the air filter or the carb not getting gas. I dont really wanna have to do that.

It's not really as bad as it sounds. It's much better than paying a dealer to do it and waiting a month to get your quad back.:eek2:

Almost forgot... a service manual helps a whole lot. It's worth every penny. IMO
