If Honda doesn't have a 650 sport quad that is ready to go immediately, I need to find a 450R in my region.

Anybody seen advertisin for them in your local areas?

Hey,
Grab a local AZ trader and thumb through it. There were all kinds of ads in it last week. Just start calling any Honda shop you know and see who has one and who can get you the best price. I ended up calling 27 different Honda shops around the valley and ended up getting one for 5600 OTD,

Dave,

Who did you buy from and how long ago?

I called a few dealers advertising the cheap prices but they said they were out of 04's. Those people at Trader really now how to bait and switch.

Oh, I work for Trader.

I bought mine from Western Honda about 3 months ago... They still had 13 left. I am sure they are gone because they were the cheapest place I found.

You can try Apache Honda... I think they had a few just this last week.

Or Arizona Honda down in Tucson. They may not have an 04 left, but will give you a great price on an 05.

Just call around and get a good price that you are happy with, and once you get a good price keep calling the other shops and get them battling for your business. Someone will give you a great price just because they want to make a sale and get another customer. The 05's don't seem to be selling like crazy so you have a little buying power there. Plus if your paying cash be sure to tell them that and that is more buying power.

Good Luck
Dave

if you are not paying cash and you do finance it, and you talk them down real low, dont let them try to screw you over on your intrest rate. they get kick backs from honda if they stick you with high rates. tell them you want 6.9% (or whatever it is) or your walking out the door. they will give you the price you want and good rates then. i talked my dealer down to 5900 when they first came out and they tried sticking me with 13%. i stood up and said bye and he said hold on let me make a phone call, then he came back out not even 30sec later and gave me 6.9%.

Dave,

Actually, Western Honda has 4 04's left. The rebate ended on Aug 31 thou. I told a salesman to give me his best out the door price on 2 of them. If they shoot me a price under $11,750 I'm a buyer. If not I might have to jump in the truck and go have a beer with KGB. I wonder if the dealer in St. George has any 04's left KGB.

Oh well, I hope it doesn't matter. I hope a 650ex will be available in the next 30 days. That will be sweet. Although most likely impossible.
