is a .40 over a 416?

what size is it, I need to know so I can order in a top end gasket set for it.

also where is the best place to get a top end gastket set?

well im pretty sure you mean .040 and no thats not a 416. a .040 is only a few CCs. not more than 5 im guessing...

a .040 over is a 406. a .080 over is a 416. all stock gaskets including the head gasket will work with a 406. however, i prefer the thin cosmetic flex steel headgasket. this will raise the compression of the 406 a little bit and it will provide a better flame travel since "off the shelf pistons" for a 400ex are made specifically for an xr400 (which has thinner gaskets).


call up C&D for the gaskets. they can get you everything you need including the piston.
