Shifting

I just got a new 05 yfz450. does anybody have problems shifting into 2 gear? their is a huge gap between 1st and 2nd keep hitting netural need to pull up higher to get it in to second

i have that prob, i seem to hit neutral alot when im going slow and putting around....

same^^^ but when i make a good long swing up i dont have that problem. the yfz tranny does not just "click" or "pop" into gear.
