How do I adjust the preload on works shocks?

I tryed turning the top stopper but its just set in a single groove, not threaded. How do i back the preload off?

We had to do mine with a tie down. You have to compress the spring then you can adjust the preload.

push the spring down-I jacked mine up to take the pressure off the spring, and was able to push the spring down by hand, but mine are set up for flattrack, so yours may be a little stiffer.

the directions say that they should just turn to adjust-that's one reason I got them. Oh well-you get what you pay for I guess.
