the best would be a crf450,but it involves frame mods, otherwise i would say throw a nice 400ex engine in there without alot of motor work

Well, I definitelt dont want to cut the frame at all, welding is ok though. I want more something faster than my worked z with will beat a yfz450 with a pipe.

well if i was in your position,i would buy something else then a 400ex and try to make it to kick yfz and R ***....i would think about buying a 450 or yfz...but if you don't want to do that, try and sell the 400ex frame, and see if you can find a CRF converted frame...or send it to....uihhh i gotta get bak to you on that, lol and they will do the conversion for 350-400 bones i think...so you don't have to do any work

300exrida was probably talking about sending it to JB Racing to modify it for the CRF or YZF motor...

Cr500 motor is out of the question, too much vibration that will lead to problems. I just want to know how hard it would be to put a crf, yzf, or big xr engine into one of these. And why not the 400ex frame its a really good starting point.

i would have to say a yz426.I just did one of these conversions for a friend and did no frame mods, just new motor mounts. He is also running a Dr.D oil tank removal kit so there is a ton of room
