Changing Coolant

When you change the coolant in the yfz450 do you have to take all the plastic off to get to the radiator or can you just dump it in the overflow bottle and let it suck it in?????

I think that would be a very bad idea. It seems to me that if there wasn't any coolant in it to start with the water pump would not be able to create the suction it needed to pull the fluid out of the tank. It would be kind of like sucking on a straw without the staw actually being in the liquid you were trying to drink, all you get is air.

There is a service manual download on bluetraxx and it tells exactaly what you have to do. It is really not that hard, we just switched from antifreeze to engine ice and it didn't take too long.
