What does a rev box do and how does it improve my fourwheeler. And do they make a rev box for a 300ex??

I know that they make "unlimited" rev box's for the 300. Meaning you can rev it to the moon if you want. I currently have one on my 400EX. I havent been able to make use of the extra RPMs and I have a 11:1 piston, crappy XR cam and a pipe. Hope things will change when the WB's cam is installed tonight.
