i took the choke out and i have the right pilot in when i give it gas it cracks and dies is it possible it is running too lean it was running fine before i too the choke out its a 416 hotcam2 11:1 motor right now i have a 158 mj and i ran fine with the choke in

my guess is that your too rich on the fuel screw. however, i can't promise you that. what pilot jet you running? air box lid on or off??

i think it might be the fuel screw is it the one thats pointed with an oring on it and a spring cause i accidently turned that awhile ago what are the turns out suppose to be i still have lid on

That is your idle screw I believe.....there isn't a spring on the air/mixture screw. That screw is on the very bottom of the carb, kinda gold in color....you will see it, its bigger than all of the screws on the bottom, flat head....Go about 2 - 2 1/2 turns out on that and see what happens, that is I am assuming you have a 42 pilot??

yes, the fuel screw is on the bottom of the carb. however, i thought that did have a small spring on it when you removed it all the way. maybe not, that could have been my fcr carb i am thinking about.

That could be Cal...but I have never had the need to screw it alllll the way out, so I wouldn't know.
