OK well we are putting new carrier bearings in the 400 & are stuck @ a point of taking the cir clip out of the axle nut?????????????? Ron can't seem to get it out anyone have any suggestions??????????? LMK THANKS

Take a thin bladed screwdriver and try to get it started under one end of it then take another screwdriver and work your way around it.They make some pliers that will do it alot easier.

heat that mofo up with a blow torch in a vise (vice)??? and go at it with a flathead screwdriver from the other side...thats how I alwasy do it ;)

A pair of snap-ring pliers from Napa will do a fine job, and are a nice compliment to any tool collection.:D

Haha Mike he was waiting for someone to say that ;) anyway he stopped @ that point because he figured out it ISN'T his bearings (well not the quads, maybe his :rolleyes: ) he took his skid plate off, which is beat to crap & was rubbing on the rotor, & his rear caliper is loose on thier so thtas where we're @ now, he's gonna tightened stuff up & go for it!!! But at least we have the bearings for when they are needed :)

I agree. How can you do the job right if you don't have the right tools.;)
