I just pulled my motor completely apart to fix a leak in the gasket between the center cases (it slipped in a small spot when I put it back together last time). My question is this... Since I just changed my rings and honed my cylinder 2 rides ago before this, can I just re hone my cylinder and keep these rings or do I HAVE to buy new rings all over again as well. Hopefully I dont have to buy the rings, Ive already bought all the gaskets twice. Im hoping that just getting the cylinder honed will be good enough to let the rings seat again without replacing them but Im not sure...

The obvious safe answer is you need new rings.

Your cylinder could be slightly egg shaped someplace even with a hone. Which could wear a ring more in some spots. So when you put it back in it might not seal correctly or not as fast.

I'm sure you could put it in and it might/probably would be fine? To be sure though I say change the rings.
