when did the 400ex come out???

I am saving up some money to buy a new quad & was wonder wat was the fist year the 400 came out? I want to try & get the oldest one i can find, because it should be less exspensive. i only have around 2k to spend.

First year the 400ex's were made was 1999. And some would have been sold summer 1998.

for 2 grand I think you could find one that need some work, If everything on the machine works it would be worth about 23-2600 dollars. If I'm a little of anyone feel free to corect me.

lol I know what you mean. Im gonna try to build a 250r. Once I sell my 300ex.
