Where did you get your oil cooler from? I got mine from Ritter Cycle Racing (RCR). If yours is from there shop I might be able to help you.

Can you post a pic or e-mail it to me reckless@drenthe.net . How much do Rick's coolers cost? I've never seen them before. Thanks, nate

Sorry about that but my cooler is from FST also. On the right hand side of the motor there is a black line that runs from the case to the cam shaft journal. You cut the tubing about an inch from where it goes into the top of the motor. Then you run the hose from one end of the oil line to the cooler and the other side of the cooler returns to the upper secion of the oil line (you need to rotate it toward the front of the quad). Be sure to prefill the cooler with oil before starting. secure all fitting with the hose clamps.

The people at FST say that their oil cooler cools the oil going to the cam journal extending the life of the cam and other componets by cooling the oil and returning it to the top of the motor.

You cut the copper tubing going from the crankcase to the head and attatch the 2 hoses to each one.

The gold fittings are extra parts. It's a universal kit for many different quads. You're going to have a crap load of unused parts in that kit.

It should have came with mounting instructions for the 300ex. If not call him and have him e-mail or fax you a copy of the installation instructions.
