straightening a subframe?

anybody had any luck straightening a bent yfz subframe? Got tangled up on the start this weekend and ended up with a bent subframe. I jimmy'd on it with a prybar a little bit but im concerned about breaking the aluminum. thanks. Matt

i bent mine, well began to, then i completely snapped it..OH WELL!

i bet ifyou hire a professional they'll do a much better job than me heating it up with a torch n bendin it with a vice lol

I had bent mine at almost a 45 degree angle. My first thought was like yours that there was no way to straighten it without breaking it. I bought a new one which costs way more than it should and after breaking that one decided I should try and straighten the bent one before buying a 3rd. I stuck a long pipe in the grab bar and wrenched on it. I it is pretty much straight now, and no cracks!!! I couldn't believe it......It is really flexible though.
