I just bought an HMF slip on for my 300 and it is built really well. Very good power increase also.:eek2:

yosh is the best, hands down. there is no competition.

i don't think the yosh is as good as sparks for power. quality wise, i am not too sure.

qualitys not a concern with the sparks.

its a perfect 1 piece exhaust. not even possible to have an exhaust leak :D looks great sounds great feels great and holds up great

after i have this, ill never own another 2 piece exhaust again (header and slipon)

ok........so this thread isn't going as well as i hoped. But i do have one person in favor of Yoshi and a guy with a 300 with an HMF slip-on:confused:

i guess..what my original question shoulda been was:
is Yoshi any better than HMF or would i be wasting my extra $40 buying a Yoshi?

What kind of bike are we talking about here? The fit and finish on a yoshi are second to none. If the bike is a 450r you should be able to pick up a full system for LESS than a full HMF. Both are good pipes and you can make the yoshi quieter than the HMF if need be(the small tec endcap on the yoshi was to my ears alot quieter than the HMF quiet core). As one said about the one piece exhaust, that won't be an option on a 400ex or a 450r. Again let us know which bike so we can help you alittle more.....

I have actually ridden a machine with both slip ons. Mine, (HMF) has a really great low end hit. I love it's snap for the trails. It took some getting used to over the stock pipe though. On the other hand, I rode my uncles 400ex with the Yoshi. Again, I was impressed. the low end hit wasn't as strong, and neither was the snap. Maybe this was becuase I removed my choke? Well, anyways, It depends on what your preferences are. The yoshi has more a mellow hit, but it extends all the way through the powerband. The HMF gives you the awesome holeshot punch that I love for the trails. Also, the yoshi was a lot mor expensive than my HMF slip on.
