I'm getting my razr 2's tuesday, hopefully. I can't wait to put them on and go for a ride. From what I've heard they hook up great in all kinds of terain, and have excelent wear characteristics.

How deep are your pockets..? If money is an issue get the Kenda’s… You're talking like $300 for Razr 2's and under $200 for the Klaw's.

How much heavier are razr2's than the knarlys? If it were me I'd get the knarly's, they are about $20-$25 cheaper per tire.

I have ran both in the last few months for xc racing. Both are good, but they are very different.

The knarlys have a very open tread pattern which allows them to clean out well. They work well in both dry and wet conditions and wear extremely well. The only problem you will run into with these tires is in height and sidewall bite. On a oem honda rim @ 5 psi they are only 19.5" tall. They also have very little side lugs. These two factors make them a bad choice for deep ruts.

The razrII's are more of a wet weather tire. I dont like them in dryer conditions because of the rounder profile they have on a oem rim - this is not as much of an issue on wider rims like hipers. Also, because of the tighter tread pattern they seem to fill up very easily in small rockey (gravel) conditions. Also, if you use them in rocky dry conditions they will wear very fast compared to the Knarlys. Over all the razrII's are about a full inch wider and talller than the knarlys so they will not handle as good, but will pull you out of the slop better.

So it really depends on what your conditions are.

Hope this helped.

Isn't kenda coming out with a new xc tire that is 1inch bigger with more side bite, if so that should be a tire to look into...
