need help! about kill swich?

i got a pro design kill switch i i hooked it up and i tested it and it worked, i put the pin back in and it didnt start! i blow a fuse.???? whats up? i hooked it to my black and white wire (positive wire)
and i the other wire to a frame nut.:confused: :confused: :confused:

it might be the wrong kill switch because there is 2 different types of ignitions a magneto (sp?) and i believe that is an open ignition, and then there is a closed ignition. i got the wrong pingel kill switch for mine and it sux because now i have to bring it back and order a new one.
when the pin was in the kill switch nothing worked and when it was out it all worked.
so i would have to be very skilled to put it on rite before i fell lol but if that isnt what is happening im not sure

P.S. not positive about the ignition thing which way it goes the magneto might be naturally closed.
but im only 13 so i am learning
