I think this will be the best turn out so far, with the 500.00 pay out in A and the central location in Iowa there should be alot of out of staters.
Just to let you know, there are some really fast local boys in Fort Dodge. Z:cool:

I was at the track tonight to help Andy out a bit, everything is over grown with weeds so I guided him around a little after I pulled him out of a sloppy mud hole! LOL!!!
The track will be ran on almost all of the same stuff we used for the 12 hour race last year! Be ready for a few steep hills (both up and down),, off camber down hills, ruts,,, lots of ruts,, rocks that have worked up over the year so get your skids shined up,, did I mentions ruts!! This track is going to challange the best of you and I believe it will be the roughest one of the year! You guys are gonna love it!
Sorry but I looked at the infamous bathtub hill with Andy and he says he's not gonna use it,,, it's in very, very bad shape!

A ,,guys will have to earn that $500.00 at this one if they want it!:blah:

I do wish him luck but he hasn't beat them yet but this could be anyones game. Just ride safe. After Michael had his bad wreck I am a momma that worries about all of ya. He was told he couldn't finish out the rest of the season and he has showed them they were wrong so don't want to see anyone in the shape he was in and when you put alot of money on the line this momma gets worried about each one of ya.

Hope everyone is getting ready. The track is looking good. Probably 5.5-6 miles long. It is so overgrown, it has been hard laying the track out. We will probably be using 80% of the 12 hour track. The track is 80% done, will be finished up early Saturday. Will be easily marked for walking the track on Saturday – everyone welcome. The track will be a little rough in spots. Some of it is getting smoothed out this week. But will be nothing like Waukon. Don’t forget if you need rooms, the holiday inn is giving a special rate of $45 (normally $75). Hot tub, bar, pool – real nice – 515-955-3621 – only two miles from the track. There is a 30 room block set up under MORR (Midwest Off Road Racing). Any problems, let Andy or Tracy know.

Tons of prizes, tires, wood and $500 to give away – ought to be a good weekend in Iowa to race!!

We will be donating $2 per shirt sold at the Ft Dodge race to Lonnie Ross’ family. So, for every shirt you buy, you are helping out a fellow racer. Lonnie passed away on 8/31 (his birthday) driving home from work. He was only 100 ft from his driveway when a deer blind sided him on his gold wing. Passed away quickly. Lonnie was driving a Yamaha that won the A class bikes at Leon. He will be greatly missed!!

That is a very generous offer. Remind me to help you off of a tree stump sometime! I think it's B-class/B-class with no 2 or 4 stroke differential in the IAHSS.

This is a different CDI than didn't show up before the Kahoka race. I cancelled that order and got my money back because I didnt' really want to buy a stock one anyway. It should show up; I'm trying to be confident. (I have to be! :D )

Am going to Chicago for 2 days at the GM training center, hopefully I'll be bolting it on Friday night, and will stop through Bluff Creek on Saturday (on the way to Ft Dodge) for testing.

If it doesn't show up I'll be beetching and moaning on here Friday night. :grr:

Carl I live around 270 and 40 in St. Louis.
If you leave at 6 am can you make it to the race on time?
I was thinking I would have to leave at around 3 am to get there in time to race. It takes me three hours to get to Kahoka and it looks to be about three more to this race.

I live 2.5 hours from Kahoka, Fort Dodge is 1.5 hours north. You better eat fast cause looks like 4 hours just from Kahoka,, unless you are running the afternoon session then you would probably be alright. I just wouldn't want someone to miss it after coming all that way,,,,,,:eek2: Z #5

Do you know how the pit area is set up. Do we get to park right on the track. With this rain is it going to be any trouble getting in and out with trucks and trailors. Good luck this weekend. Yes, the pits will be right along the track, there shouldn't be any problems with the trailers. The water runs off pretty quick and the pit area should be fine.
My wife will be along,, I will have to talk to her about the laundry thing. I doubt she would like me washing muddy cloths in her washing machine for a week straight! LOL!!!
Actually this rain will be great,, no dust, the only place it may be bad at is on the lower portion by the river,,, it may be a little slippery!

Now don't bring wifey into the laundry deal. You did the rain dance so this is your baby. they make laundry mats. I know the feeling. My washer has been making a funky noise ever since Leon. I think it is a rock. Happens alot and then will come loose. Glad to hear we can park by the track. Makes it alot nicer than carrying eveything to the pit area. Especially as many as we have. But will be nice not to have dust. Got to do some packing for tomorrow so back on tonight. Thanks for the info and see ya at the race. Have a safe ride....Momma B

YEEHA!!!

My Dynatek CDI and swingarm bash plate arrived yesterday! Looks like I am back in business (assuming that the CDI was, in fact, my problem! ) When I get this all worked out and everything dialed in it should be at least as fast as a 450 with no right side tires. ;)

Many thanks to those who offered help "Just in case."

:grr: :(

Well, dammit. It wasn't the CDI. I figured that it was my problem because it had been obviously smashed pretty hard. In the morning I'm going to work to get my DVOM and other wire testing tools, then I'm gonna hunt and search for a wire rubbed through to ground or poor connection (best case scenario) but there is a high likelyhood that my magneto is fugged.

If anybody has any ideas..... it's a 2000 Warrior with a rev limiter coming in waaaaaay too soon.

I'm off to cry.

Dont pay any attention to that ole fart. He just turned 40 not to long ago and he has already lost it. He rides in that sr. class so watch him cause he has to take his glasses off and he is blind as a bat. He should go by the name of crash and bang. look us up at the race. We like to have a good time and joke. Good luck it is a neat series. Alot better than Mo. At least you get more than a piece of wood. Good luck and have a safe drive. SPEAKING OF GETTING OLD

1. Your house plants are alive, and you can't smoke any of them.
2. Having sex in a twin bed is out of the question.
3. You keep more food than beer in the fridge.
4. 6:00 AM is when you get up, not when you go to bed.
5. You hear your favorite song on an elevator.
6. You watch the Weather Channel.
7. Your friends marry and divorce instead of hook up and break up.
8. You go from 130 days of vacation time to 14
9. Jeans and a sweater no longer qualify as "dressed up."
10. You're the one calling the police because those damn kids next door won't turn down the stereo.
11. Older relatives feel comfortable telling sex jokes in front of you.
12. You don't know what time Taco Bell closes anymore
13. Your car insurance goes down and your payments go up.
14. You feed your dog Science Diet instead of McDonalds leftovers.
15. Sleeping on the couch makes your back hurt.
16. You no longer take naps from noon to 6 PM.
17. Dinner and a movie is the whole date instead of the beginning of one.
18. Eating a basket of chicken wings at 2 a.m. would severely upset, rather than settle your stomach.
19. You go to the drug store for ibuprofen and antacid, not condoms and pregnancy tests.
20. A $4.00 bottle of wine is no longer "pretty good stuff."
21. You actually eat breakfast food at breakfast time.
22. "I just can't drink the way I used to," replaces, "I'm never going to drink that much again."
23. 90% of the time you spend in front of a computer is for real work.
24. You drink at home to save money before going to a bar.
25. You read this entire list looking desperately for one sign that doesn't apply to you and can't find one to save your sorry old ***.
:D :blah:

VERY VERY doubtful! The water runs off pretty quick. The only bad spots are probley going to be at the bottom of bathtub hill and maybe on the back land by the river. Even by the river should be ok tho if you pick a good line! I'm gonna go down there today and help Andy out and see if there are any really bad spots that he needs to route around! yah, I was actually leading when it happend and slowed down and let Johnson around me, I asked the scorer how much time was left and she said 45 minutes, I decided it wans't worth risking another injury- I hurt my leg about a month ago when it slipped off the foot peg and got sucked under the tire.

Christian was really not into racing Sunday. I dont know what his problem is it gets frustrating. I just have to let him go I guess. Kinda hard to do well when he dont pay attention and go the right way :(
He still has fun though.

I really want too but I dont know how that will affect me racing the B-class for 12hrs of america?

My teamates dont want me too for fear of someone protesting that I'm a A-rider then.

So I will be having fun, relaxing a little, toying a little and most of all have no stress at Waukon

Do you have a stars and stripe helmet? and a white yfz? I remember passing him when he went and took a outside line and I dipped to the inside on a uphill near the off camber section. I was riding possesed I believe this was my best race yet of the year and finished right behind Josh and Jason.I was proud of that since they started 2 rows ahead of me.

Yea I was going to fool around but dont think I will. I dont want any hard feelings. I may start last and see how many I CAN pick off by the end for fun.

I'm to impatient to follow people but I could try to push ya thru:D

Yea I usually do that too, but mostly because I actually DO start last. Always seem to get into first lap trouble. http://www.bluetraxx.com/phpBB/images/smiles/shrug.gif

LOL!!! Hey guys, a comment was made that the only reason Alex wins all the races is because he is in the slower utility class! This was made by someone who is suppose to be a friend!!:eek2:
So watch what happens in Waukon! We are very seriously considering putting Alex on my yellow FST 785 Prairie in the B class! Just don't want to screw up anyone else's points!

LOL!!! What do you guys think of that?

snowgasm,
Alex won't have a lot of say so in it,,, if his dad says no,,, there will be no race! I talked to him last night and he's not very happy that he doesn't get to go!

rpmquad,,,
Don't worry about that,,, it's way too much fun to tease ya after the race and one of the Prairies has towed ya out! LOL!!!
It's not the first of my Prairies has been in a magazine tho,, I have not seen this one yet,, I hear it is kinda cool! Just think, you can walk around in the t shirt from Ft. Dodge and the magazine in your hand and say,,, hey,, I know this quad! LMAO!!!!

I think the coolest part is that the IATVHSS has 4 pages just for it! Now Andy has hit the big time!

HAHAHA
Neither one of them would win the C-class let alone the B-class.

There is a diffrence when your racing more than 5 other quads. No offense to ya's.

Besides I might not even be racing:confused: I have to send out my shocks they needs a rebuilding and some bushings.

Unless I ride a YFZ:blah:

Kim I was not =doggin ya sorry if ya thought that?

LMAO
Me to scared ya right!

The first Iowa race was only my 4th time EVER racing. All 4 races prior were in a C-class.

I have practiced a lot and thought that the B-class was the place to be and after taking 9th in B in Indianola. I knew thats where I should be. Now I agree and I will be in A next year.

Hey I would have won some money this year I wish I was in A but seriously had no clue what class to start out at:confused:

I think I can back up my talk not saying I CAN run with Mike and Duane but I'll be up close.

I HOPE:p

Not this wild child. She was right back out there the next morning getting ready. So unless you see her ride I would not pass any judgement. What class do you ride in and what do you ride?
