Do you really need reverse on the 400ex during trail riding? (the trails kinda wide) if you own a 400ex or any other Sport quad that doesnt have reverse have you ever regreted NOT having reverse?:confused:

i just got a 400ex after having a 250ex with reverse for 2 years, ,and i dont miss it yet thought the trails. i just push it around and learn to go up lil hills and roll backwards and spin the tires to turn around. i like it, no need for reverse most of the time.

You'd still be better off with the 400ex. The Z400 has reverse just to let you know.

the Z400 is a much better machine, plus the 05's have even better ft rezzy shocks and some other upgrades also to improve them and they have alot more power than the 400ex.
the raptor in my opinion isnt good for the trails to heavy and high to throw around!

all depends on how much money you want to spend. Obviously, the more money your willing to spend, the more machine you will get. For the price, you can't beat a 400ex. I've seen new 400ex's going out the door for $4700 or so, and you'll pay a grand or so more for a z400 and even more for a raptor.

whos needs reverse if u got that much power and versatility with qauds u can make a trail or just spin around reverse is not nessicary for racing or sport qauds cause there not meant for hauling n e thing. Only sissys need reverse on there sport qauds.:blah:

For most trails you dont NEED reverse, it just lets you be lazy. A lot of my buddies dont have reverse and there fine without it. most times you can just spin around or go up a bank or sumthing.
400ex would be good.
