I just got my fcr 39 mm carb for my 400ex and my question is why does my quad feel like its flooding its self when I'm in a wheely??

I am jetted a little rich but nothing crazy could that be the reason ?

and one more question my friends 400ex is doing a little slapping sound and to me it sounds like rocker arm slapping but it only slaps when its hot and not when its cold and when we took the head cover off I seen that one of his valve spring is on up side down could this be the reason of the slapping? because his valve clearance was to specs and there lots of oil going into he's head cover and his valves just got re-seated not to long ago!

IM NOT SURE ABOUT THE PART OF THE CARB BUT THERE IS A PART IN THE CARB THAT LIKE WONT KEEP THE GAS FLOW GOING IN A WHEELIE. MY 41MM FCR DOES THE SAME THING. EVERYONE I TALK TO SAYS THERES DOES THE SAME THING.

The paint marker on the stock valve springs is for identification purposes only, it's not to show "up" or "down" (it doesn't matter).

my buddies fcr misses on wheelies too. however, it is mainly when we are flooring it on wheelies. we leaned out his jetting and the problem doesn't seem to be as bad. i am not exactly sure why it does this though.

use the search function and search for fcr* 39mm exactly like that. Youll pull up about 200 posts about proper setup of FCRs and little mods you can do to shorten the accellerator pump duration and more to fix the low end bogging...

I've kinda noticed mine dosnt do that when you keep a steady thorttle while wheelieing, only when you womp on the throttle(accel. pump floods it I was thinking).-darren
