i hear ya about that frikin 350x air boot, i spent all the money on the stupid thing, and it wasnt even close, what i ended up doing is shoving the stock 250x boot onto the carb, and then using a hose clamp from the hardware store, now its great, but yeah that stupid airboot was a waste of time and money for me:rolleyes:

LMAO....Ducktape.... It is easy as hell, did either of you think to ask someone who has done it before?

Boil some water and put the carb end of the boot in the water until it becomes fairly soft, then simply put it on the carb and let cool. When it cools it will be a perfect fit.;)

he is talking about the air boot that connects the carb to the head. i think you use the stock boot that connects the carb to the air box, but i would confirm that with one of these other guys.

im thinkin that makes a little more sense...and then boilin the water to make it expand that makes sense now i guess

yes, they boil the little boot between the carb and the head so the boot expands and that way you can slide the carb in that boot. i don't know about that boot, but on a 400ex there is an o-ring in that boot and you should probably remove it before you go boiling it.
