A while back I posted a thread stating my 450r could do 85 mph.
A couple guys disputed this.Well me and my buddies pitched in and bought a bushnell radar gun that is accurate -+1mph and on dirt I went 81 and on pavement 85 multiple times.I am going to get the head pipe and put stock rear sprocket back on and put 15 front (1 tooth in front is more than two in back).Going to try for
88-89mph.What can i say I love speed.Besides we are all into drag racing for a mile or more so top speed is important.

80 all stock?

No way...what's your rear sprocket?

I had this thing hauling *** across a field in back of the Budweiser plant and I felt my old raptor was faster.

It didn't even seem as though I was going much more than 70.

he has 22 in rear tires thats how he is goin that fast and a stock 450r will do about 75 -77

you guys are nuts! heh, i had to try it too though. My 450 did 78 MPH with the 18inch turf tamers on the rears. My old 250R with a FTZ 310 cylinder would do 85 mph with 12/38 gearing and 20 inch tires on the rear Never got the chance to put like a 15t front sprocket on it to see if it'd do 90 mph or not

my friends 450r did 77 stock. my raptor is definatly not jetted right (spits blue flames out the back when i let off) with just a front 14 and it did 81 so i can believe it. We checked all this with my gps.

Yeah I knew my old Raptor was a tad bit faster. I could feel it

So what do I have to do to this R to get it moving? No gearing changes as of yet... I'm going to install a Sparks cam, X-6 exhaust, their air filter, maybe a new Air lid with an outerwear over it... That only leaves the question of what gearing and size tires.

You guys think I could still hit 80 with the above mods with a 13t front sprocket?

:D

Taking the baffle out of my friends helped cure the easy stalling gave it a lil more bottom end it the 14 he had the 13 didnt like gettin spanked my the raptor with it on there and is back to the 14 But we are riding mostly roads so the 13 may come back on after crops are off and we get back in the dirt. I dunno if i wanan gear the raptor down yet or not.

Yes, I meant 60mph.

Also, CRASH508-EX, I don't know to much about four wheelers, but sounds like you have a monster there.

I want to know the 0-60mph time of a 450R.

I have a good friend (chris450R) that has a 450R and he wants to race me when ever I get my C5 Corvette. (That will be a year or two) I don't really know what all he has done. Anyway, I figured while Y'all were talking about speed I would go ahead and ask.

In case you were wondering what I'm doing here. I like four wheelers and will most likely get one as soon as I'm not under the control of my parents. Understand?

yeah ssrogers is my friend. and i plan on whippin' his C5's arss for him with the 450R! by the time he gets it i will have a JE 12:1 piston, sparks mid-high cam, '03 crf fcr carb, race gas for sure, and probably go up to a 15 tooth on the front just for the race so i will have some top speed. i will also run 20' tires on the back or made some houser radial tires for the traction. we will most likely just run an 1/8 mile because there really aren't any 1/4 miles close to where we live. but with all that said i don't think i will have a probably takin the C5 in an 1/8 mile. 1/4 mile might be alittle different though.

So, does anybody know the 0 to 60mph time for a 450R?

We don't have a radar gun, and I don't plan on buying one just for this. That's why I was hoping one of you would have it.
